Changes to Public and School Bus Services during K2RQ Temporary Closure of Padstow Station Overbridge

26/05/10, 11:11am

Effective Tuesday 1 June 2010 for approximately 11 months

In conjunction with the Kingsgrove to Revesby Railway Quadruplication project (K2RQ) the road bridge across Padstow Railway Station will be closed from Tuesday 1 June 2010 for a period of approximately 11 months.   As a result it will be necessary to divert Bus Routes 927, 948, 962 and S5, as well as a number of school specials, across the Baddeley Street / Doyle Road bridge instead during this time. This will result in some normal bus stops being bypassed in the area immediately north of Padstow Station and will also, in some cases, result in alterations to the bus stops used on the southern side of Padstow Station by some school buses. The impact on Bus Routes 927, 948, 962 and S5 will be as follows:
  • The northbound bus stop in Cahors Road at the corner of Iberia Street will be temporarily closed.
  • The southbound bus stop in Cahors Road at the corner of Iberia Street will be temporarily closed.
  • The southbound bus stop in Memorial Drive just north of Padstow Station will be temporarily closed.
  • A new temporary southbound bus stop will be installed in Arab Road just west of the corner of Cahors Road.
  • Existing bus stops in Howard Road (south side of station) will remain open.
